How long now until BA has all of their 737’s retired and replaced with Airbus’.

Any info would be great!

The plan is eventually to have all 319’s for shorthaul at LGW. I don’t think the last of the 737’s will go in the very near future though as the current Airbus fleet is needed at LHR and the Airbus aircraft currently on order are all destined for LHR to replace the 10 original 320’s (BUSB-K).

That may change though as there are big rumours of 330’s for longhaul at LGW to provide greater commonality for the LGW fleet as a whole, which would presumably mean the 319’s moving south sooner. Although what types that would leave at LHR who knows.

i can wait until BA gets rid of the 737,that’s all they use on the DUB-LGW route. It would be nice to see some A319/320’s!

Nothing’s been confirmed on their being replaced with Airbus models, although it seems likely. The leases on some were extended not too long ago (on the -300 I think though not sure)
