hey people: anyone knows why BA(who’s HeadQuarters is at Heathrow), has decided NOT to place an order for the A380 whereas their main UK competitor Virgin Atlantic, (which is primarily based at Gatwick), has.

Not on LHR-JFK.
Plenty premium pax.BA can fly a 777 on the route with just the Business cabin full and make money. OR so I’m told.
I too heard something similar.
On a BA LHR-BOS flight on a 777, the Captain told me something similar. He said that if all the FC passengers paid full fare (not upgrades/freq flyer stuff), the rest of the folks in cattle er.. coach class could be flown for free.

Do so, because if he’s trying to say Ba only made money from PAX on concorde then he’s either not doing a very good job, or he’s been smoking some wierd stuff… ask him if I can get some 😉
I expect they will be saying the same about you :diablo:

Several of us have.
BA make good money on their premiere service. There is a lot of business travel between LHR and JFK.
BA do not realy need to fly cargo on the route. They do so to maximise profits. I’m no BA expert but I can tell you, you are wrong on this one. 😉
