BA Cabin Crew Vote In Favour Of Strikes
British Airways cabin crew have voted massively in favour of holding strikes over pay and working conditions.
Len McCluskey, assistant general secretary of Unite, said there had been an 80% participation rate in the ballot, with four out of every five members backing the industrial action.
“What this result shows is that BA must work to resolve the deep sense of grievance among its staff,” he said.
Unite will hold a meeting of workers on Thursday when strike dates are set to be announced, although the union has ruled out taking action over the school Easter holidays.
Lets just hope that Unite have carried this one out correctly, and that both parties can come to some sort of agreement that maybe can see the end of this saga.

I can’t say I’ve got much time for the strikers, either. Had they been striking because of genuine unfairnesses, then ok, but these people simply seem to be protecting a gravy train that has no place in today’s economic climate.

The same could easily be said for Boeing and the 7late7 orders.
I would agree. All of the airline’s orders could be in jeopardy.

You know what? I couldn’t agree more. I’m utterly sick and tired of hearing about these jumped up idiots whinging about things like travel benefits when millions of other people are just keeping their heads above the water. Absolutely sick and tired of it. Other airlines and businesses have had to adapt to a changing world and if they’re to survive then BA must do the same. The more these muppets strike, the more people fly with other airlines and the more nails they hammer into the coffin of their own employer. Selfish, narrow minded fools.

I wonder if Airbus is getting edgy about the BA A380 order yet? You’ve got to think that between the volcano and this labor crisis, and BA’s fairly fragile financial position, those orders may be in jeopardy or at least further delayed.

They want you to send a concerned letter to BA! HAH, I did, but not with the template they give you, I sent a rather a more “Stick it to them BA!” type e-mail.
Had a look at This. The email is being sent to the secretary of BA ,Not Willie himself , are they to frightened to send it to him direct

I was on UA934 LAX-LHR this morning. Decending over the Birmingham area, listening to live ATC on the inflight system, I was fully expecting to hear “United 934, direct to Bovingdon to hold, delay around XX minutes” as usual. But no, it was “United 934, route direct to Bovingdon, then leave Bovingdon heading 090, Heathrow landing runway 27L”. Huh? :confused: No delay! 🙂 I guess BA have still had to cancel quite a few flights despite the strike being ruled unlawful again. After landing on 27L, there was not a single further landing until the flight I was on parked at T1 – quite unusual for LHR.
Thus again I have to say – this action is having an excellent effect on all other airlines using LHR, as it isn’t clogged up with all the BA flights!!! If only LHR was always like it was today… 😀
