Next month BA223 is changing to BA293

Its the one that has been targeted. There are 3 BA flights to IAD and 1 to BWI a day and only the 223 has been targeted. One possibility is that it is purely the significance in the flightnumber, and so BA have nothing to lose with changing it to 293.

I think 223 was the resolution giving Israel its own state or if not a very large one dealing with Israel-Palestine.

Becasuse they recon its to do with UN Resolution 223, thus changing it to 293 will remove the political connection.
