The really bad uniforms have gone now, and the tattier a/c tended to be the 500s which have now gone.
Not sure about the Uniforms, however it was G-TOYE I last flew on a few months back. This was tattier than G-BVZE the last -500 I flew on in Jul 04.

Despite all their faults behind the scenes, flying with them is as good as most other locos, although they do have a few issues with punctuality on some routes, but thats mainly from MME, so you should be fine.
… except, from my experiance, with Tattier interiors and really bad uniforms!
Personally They are in my humble opinion much worse than EXS, RYR and EZY.

Today I’ve booked BHX-AMS with bmibaby. Flying out on Feb 19th and returning on 23rd.
Total cost of the return ticket was £40.73. (It was £3.99 each way plus taxes) And I paid with an Electron card so no extra charges. The cheapest I’ve ever paid to fly to the Dam!
For the same dates, Easy from LPL wanted £87. Jet2 from MAN wanted £67 and KLM from MAN wanted £80.
My previous cheapest ticket was last Feb with Jet2 from MAN (£46). The most expensive was the first time I went (no locos then). KLM from MAN which was £123!
Never flown with baby before so looking forward to it!

Pah! Post 9/11 no-one was flying. I booked with Easy return to Nice from Luton for £38.50 inc taxes – £0.0575/mile! Guy I sat next to on the way back had paid £400 return booking three days before (there was a big conference in Cannes that we had been to) 🙂

I’d happily pay £34 that’s very cheap in my book for EDI-CWL. £3 would just be stupid. 😉

yeh, but not as good as £3 lol !
By: LBARULES - 23rd November 2005 at 22:20
I think £34 is very reasonable indeed!

Once tax etc. has been added it comes to a total of £34.93 return, which doesn’t seem quite so cheap lol. And with tax AMS is going for just £42.73 return. If babys timings and frequencies were a bit better on this route I think KLM would be a bit worried.

WW BHX-EDI in the summer cost me £17.99 one way (i.e. £35.98 return) including taxes. The flights themselves were £0.01 each one way.

I presume tax still has to be added, what does it come to with tax? They are supposed to be a loco, so cheap flights like this should crop up all the time, especially with flights that have just been annouced and few people have booked on them. They are selling EDI-BHX for 99p each way + tax just now.
Sticking with EDI-BHX for a sec, Flybe are doing free flights with only tax added, just a shame the tax is £20 each way! Not sure how much bmibaby add on for tax…
