How many more projects are stored or underway? Any more mkv projects?

Absolutely right, plus getting the engines. I believe they looked into reopening the Merlin production line, but opted not too

There are a number of aircraft registered on the CAA website. Presumably a few of these will be longer-term than others.

Alternatively, rather than creating yet more Spitfires, wouldn’t it be good to see someone recreate something a bit more esoteric?
A Sabre-engined Tempest or two would be a good start…
Would be nice, but not really practical, all the infrastructure is in place for Spitfire and Merlin rebuilds. It would be pretty limited one off stuff for the Tempest and Sabre, but then again stranger things have happened.

You folks in the UK seem to have had a real resurgence in the Baby marks over the past decade or so, starting(?) with AR213’s backdating. I’d like to see a “new” Mk.V…the last was BL628 in late 2007, by my reckoning?
Here in NZ I’m only aware of a high-back XVI and a low-back XIV under rebuild, the latter (NH799) edging closer to flight. Australia has a bundle of restorations but I’m not sure if any are pre-IX.
