A few BAC111 shots from back in the mid 1980’s, again, when these were still plying their trade across the Channel to Jersey. I have a bit of a fondness for the 111, as it was the first hair-drier that I flew in between Jersey and Heathrow in the early 1970’s.
They are more content, rather than quality.
RAE’s example parked up on the apron in Guenrsey, taken through the window of a BAe 146.

EN380… Nice shots… Good to see the 1-11 rememered !!!..
At Brooklands We could play that game with 3 people as our 1-11 G-ASYD has its stairs operating by hydraulics but We would not promote it! 🙂

I took my kids on the one at Duxford last year, but the staff didn’t seem keen to let me try out the game…..

Last flew on one in ’97 when EAC was leasing G-AVMP to Ryanair (Luton-Dublin) It was such a different experience to a 737 et al, it was small and agile, and felt so low to the ground when boarding.
I also used to play on one aged 4 when my Grandfather was disposing of Channel Airway’s assets in the early ’70s, the game was to see if you could start the forward stairs going down, run to the back, start the rear stairs, get back to the front before those stairs had completed, then to the back before they had finished, then start again for the opposite cycle….
