Back fighting fit

In answer to all who enquired where I was, as I had not been on the forum for some time, the reason was, I has an anuarism in my abdomen, which was found be accident at my local Hospital when I was ad mitted for something unrelated to what they found by a CT scan. I was admitted to Addenbrooks, where they operated, and strengthened the aorta. and things seem to have settled down.I am awaiting yet another op, from the hospital whence I was first admitted in August, and where by sheer luck, they found the anuarism.
Thanks Graham, (Blue_2) for your support, and now to trawl through the forum to see what I have missed.

Hi David. I have a Blackberry Curve mobile, would it be possible to get that Merlin on it?.
Thanks for the get well message, very much appreciated.

Don’t know anything about those new-fangled mobiles 😮 – mine just talks and texts!
The Merlin sounds are wav files – if you can do your thing with that file type just PM me your email address and I’ll send them.

Ahhhhhhhh, but the roar of a MERLIN at low level can’t be heard on a photo!!

Welcome back L7 – hope everything goes well from henceforth.

P.S. The roar of a Merlin is possible to obtain at home – I have one as an email notification sound. It is a left to right low pass by a Spit. With the speaker volume wound up I can hear it when I’m in the garden doing a bit of planespotting (too cold at present though!) 😀

Hi Sky High, Thanks, Its in the lap of the Gods at the moment. N.H.S. and all that!! waiting lists etc, which I am sure most of us have experienced at one time or the other.
I don’t know if it’s true, but in Cuba, you can walk into any Drs surgery, be examined, and if the Dr diagnoses that you need an Op, you are admitted to Hospital that very day, and job done?.

Hi EGTC it’s nice to be here, it could so easily have gone the other way. Sort of puts a different perpective on things, and makes one wonder if all the moaning about things that don’t really matter , is at the end of the day, worth it,

Hmm yes I understand what you mean there. I am really glad to see that you are alright though.

Jim; definitely! When you’re a bit better come down to Coventry and see what we’ve been up to with the Shackleton. Not quite Merlins, but still good stuff.

Regards,

Rich

Hi Rich. Definitely will try, The old Shack is one of my all time favourites. Once spent 8hrs in one over the North Sea finding radio beacons, the launches had let go many hrs prior. Had a slight problem, two of the 4 engines packed up, but the pilot refused to go back to base!!
😀

Never mind, you can bet your life that there will be a positive plethora of beautiful pictures of the shows to make you feel that you were actually there…

Good news is always welcome. 🙂

Hi Grey Area. Thanks for your comments, from the ones received so far, I must admit I am amazed at folks, some of which I don’t know, have taken the time and trouble to comment.
Just shows what a good forum and members you have.

Sky High. Many thanks for your reply,as for returning to normal, you can bet a pound to a pinch of the proverbial, the 2nd op will be smack on when the display season starts, so I will be sitting at home as now, recovering. Trouble is, if you cancell, you go back to square one.
