On the day that BA Connect confirmed they are to axe SOU-GLA, flybe have confirmed that the EMB195 will operate the route in September!
Due to high demand on this major route Flybe will also deploy the new Embraer 195 increasing daily capacity by a massive 75%
And BACON’s release :
BA Connect have announced the withdrawal of services between Southampton and Glasgow from the beginning of the Winter 2006 schedule. The last departure will be on Friday 27 October 2006

I think FlyBe are just far more popular on this route. Every time I have flew on the route it has been pretty much full.

FlyBe are also increasing SOU-GLA from 4x daily to 6x daily.
Clearly BACON don’t see where the “high demand” is coming from ?

Maybe some mad four flights in a day trip is in order to get on on one of these new Embraers :D.
