BACX Revamp today!

BA are to announce the shake up of BACX ops this morning. Staff got the news of the rebrand at 7am, with nothing for us out just yet.

It looks like food will be sold on board BACX flights, i’m sure we’ll hear more during the coming hours

The change isnt made until the 26th March, so any flight in late Feb will still be under the existing system.

Do you all reckon its best to wait until Connect launches before booking flights? Was looking at Jersey for late Feb, but dont really want to book and then see the fair halve!

It sounds quite similar to the new-ish format for Aer Lingus in short haul, and that does seem pretty good.

BA con’n’egg – Seems like you won’t be getting that onboard any more!!! Coat please…

i read on Pprune a joke….

a lady on a long haul flight had ordered Vegetarian meals…on breakfast service the hostie had gave her breakfast box..within minutes of being handed it to her,she was pressing the call button…hostie went over and asked what was the problem..lady kept saying she ordered the vege meal, and the hosties kept telling her it was..after a heated debate the lady pointed to the side of the box and said “LOOK IT SAYS BACON”, the hostie looked and said no madame, thats our web address “BA.COM”

I believe Ryanair are trialling that this month. Anyone have any updates on this?

Also in a Communication sent to Gold Card Members bmi said last month its something they are introducing for all classes but only Gold and Silver Diamond Card Holders first as a sort of trial.

Depending on my financial situation mate, I will consider nearer the time!

And i told you my plans for the summer last week, so i also might be just that bit tighter on daytrips in 2006 :p

It would certainly be nice to see good fares on destinations like Munich, Frankfurt etc.

Very encouraging news from BA.

Typical Ryanair backlash. Even BA mainline is cheaper than them at times. Particularly if you need to travel at a days notice, or like I did recently a few hours notice.

Well they have done it at last ,Ive flown With BACX on more than one occasion and can not fault them, The EMB 145 were comfortable(leather seats good leg room) and the crew wonderful (MAN-FRA,FRA-MAN)
Same with the DHC8 very roomy ,but no leather seats 🙁 (GLA-MAN,MAN-GLA)

Look foward to fly with them again
