I had a wierd occurrence last night. I decided to cook a couple of poached eggs for my dinner. I cracked one, and lo and behold, it had a double yoke. This was pretty wierd in this day and age when eggs are scanned for abnormalities. I’d only ever seen one double yoked egg before in my life, years ago. But the REALLY wierd thing is, I cracked the other egg, and it ALSO had two yokes. Holy cow!
Two eggs, four yokes. Isn’t this strange?
They were delicious by the way. This incident reminded me of something else strange years ago. My Nana kept chooks, and one day she cracked an unually large egg to find inside a noral yoke and white, and a whole other smaller egg! She cracked the second one and it too had a white and yoke. We were kids then and thought it amazing, but she said that years before she’d seen a similar egg within an egg, but it had TWO eggs within an egg!!
Crazy. Has anyone else had odd eggs like this?
