Bad flying experiances.

Have any of you ever had a really bad flying experiance, for example with the aircraft, the crew, the pilot, the food etc?????

I had a bad experiance last year on my return flight from Paphos, in Cyprus. The pilot was a woman {nothing against that}. The only thing is I swear she didn’t know how to fly a plane correctly. lol 😛

When we evetually got on the aircraft after a three hour delay, the pilot, took the aircraft down the side of the runway, and suddenly turned on to it, to go across it a line up for departure, just as she was doing this, there was this 767 coming into land, i thought to myself what is she doing? She sort of sprinted across lol.

I mean the 767 was probably further away than it looked?????? }>

When we eventually got back to Gatwick, she said we are going to land in about 10 minutes…ok!

And land we did, but we didnt actually toutch down until we were half way down the runway. She slammed the brakes on hard, and i mean HARD! And she sort of like did a hand brake turn at the end of the runway, as if we were going to over-shoot. Whilst she was doing this, I looked at some peoples faces on the plane and they all looked really scared, as was I though. lol 😛

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-09-02 AT 04:41 PM (GMT)]Aurigny Trislander GCI-ACI-SOU.Some bad turbulance and also I was in a small and cramped aircraft for 60 minutes which was less than comfortable.I go to SOU now I will fly Flybe.
I enjoyed my experience with Virgin Atlantic, however,we were delayed for 4 hours but we got meal vouchers and 10% discount on our next VS flight so not that bad.I only recieved one half can of lemonade on my whole flight as well so I got dehidrated.

RE: Bad flying experiances.

Well , I guess that I already posted that story but…

I flew on last february to LAX in order to visit my wife’s family.
We had no chance to manage an emergency exit row , therefore we got “regular” seats. It was the first time that I was flying DL on this route and we had an MD11 :9 from CDG to JFK .

Just before us sat a young couple, and they were obviously looking for an upgrade in businees class. The guy decided right to incline his seat. Unfortunately , the pitch on this type is smaller than the one on UA’s 777 that I use to fly.

The operation was mechanialy impossible due to … my knees (I’m 1.92m). This guy was pushing as hard as he could on the back of his seat. This situation lasted at least 3 or 4 hours , before the flight attendant, after they insulted my wife accepted to move them in business .

Unfortunately , they had to move back very soon since it xas lunch time ….. Fortunately , they chose an other row….

This flight was by far the worst I never experienced!!

RE: Bad flying experiances.

I had a terrible experience whilst touring with my Rugby Club two years ago…

Our Air France flight from Paris to Toronto ran out of alcohol half way across the Atlantic.

We were actually given no choice but to sit watching the IFE with no beer in our hands… for Three whole hours 🙁
