To quote the Associated Press from an article about the fire….
“On Sunday, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit finished No. 1 in the United States on its opening weekend. It grossed $16.1 million in ticket sales.”

not bad, not bad I say! although 16.1 is kinda a slow weekend.

did it do well in the US? I thought the series never really caught on in the States.

Least Nick Park took it well enough, saying it was nothing compared to the tragedies of the earthquakes recently….way to take it in stride…and from the US box office receipts he should be able to build a fairly decent new studio, i should think!

but it’s unfortunate to hear that such a thing happened. I liked the movies.

It was A Close Shave that there was no loss of life.Let`s hope that the firefighters, arriving in their Cracking Contraptions, weren`t wearing The Wrong Trousers,as a few hot sparks could have ruined their Grand Day Out 😀

Really sad, when you consider how much time they will have spend on those, and the amount of sentimental value they will have for the people who worked on the movies.

That’s a shame – heard it on the radio this morning, didn’t realise it was the studios 😮
