Hilarious, a few snow flakes and the place grinds to a halt.
I arrived late one evening at Sheremetievo in a blizzard, which was so heavy that even my fragrant driver was worried about the snow round the Moscow ring road.
Now THAT was a snow storm.

No snow here. They say we may get a sprinking tonight. Well the wind has put my plans for the day to shot. I cant go up the local park during school time to try to avoid the local youth/police with drug dogs etc that seem to frequent my local trimming field.

Just received this from the Manchester Avaition Society email list….
Just heard on London 131.050/126.875 that EDI is closed for around 30 mins due to heavy Snow fall.

Edinburgh is hardly snowed under, there might be a couple of inches, but EDI has ground to a halt! 😮 Runway shut, most of this mornings rush hour flights haven’t even left yet, quite a few arrivals have been diverted too.

Clear at BHX and EMA – but strangely, EMA seemed to be testing all the snow clearing equipment yesterday (usually the snow falls and then they find the equipment won’t go because it hasn’t been used all year!)

Snow and Manchester are words not generally connected in the same sentence (though for some unknown reason, another form of precipitation is?); the last time I can remember some really serious snow was back in 1981 when it was feet deep; however, all it takes is 3 to 6 inches covering runways to cause a bit of havoc at any British airport!
