Forum members may recall the recent visit of the purveyor of a lot of old nonsense about Douglas Bader popping up in Liverpool at the time he was actually banged up in a German POW camp.
Inevitably, a rather biased and self serving account of this episide has appeared on his website – naturally he’s not made mention of any of his own foul mouthed ragings on this forum. He’s probably right about not mentioning Bader though. I did, but I think I got away with it.

AIR FORUM MEMBERS NEW ATTACK
In the last few days I was subjected to another concerted, merciless and vitriolic attack on my story, reputation, dignity and service in the Royal Navy during World War II by a group of members of an aviation forum in London. This attack was lead by the so called Moderator who is totally lacking impartiality and has no real understanding of his role.
This man constantly attacked me and encouraged many forum members to do all they could to ridicule and denigrate my story. The other disturbing part of this attack is that it was joined by another Forum member who is a “writer” of some minor apparent reputation in the UK who made wholly erroneous and insulting statements about me and my story on the Forum and, in a self serving manner used references to a very PROMINENT citizen and a very PROMINENT charitable organization (and his association with them as a one of a number of voluntary “Historians”) to give credence to his condemnation of my story
I have a letter from the charitable organization in question advising me that they DO NOT hold any views or discuss any such views on the life and career of the late Douglas Bader.
Despite this statement this writer, the recipient of the MBE, refuses, as do the Forum organizers, to offer an apology to me.
The Forum members (mainly anonymous) as a whole do not seem, in the first place to have even fleetingly read my story and, if they have, completely miss the basic tenet of my story in that I admit freely that I have no corroborative evidence to support my claims at the moment!
These single minded people keep on nevertheless, insulting me and screaming that I have NO PROOF! To them I say, YES! I know, but my story is all about my search for corroboration and verification of my story, an explanation that should be easy to grasp by fair minded people?
Some of the Forum members I understand are model aircraft making 13 year old teenagers, so perhaps I should make allowances for their presence and immaturity on what should be a Forum for serious discussion and debate.
My readers may find a brief visit to the Forum a remarkable experience – but be advised, mention Douglas Bader at your peril!

Well, if he does return, he has also reinstated his website guest book so the traffic can be two way….
Or rather, he’s un-reinstated it again. Obviously Mr Williams is afraid of informed debate!!!!

Startling Update
I have it on the very best authority that there was a sighting of a very young Ken Williams at the the Stork Hotel in Liverpool in 1942.
This startling revelation makes it now quite indisputable that Ken was actually in existence before his much publicised war service. 😀
This will finally put a stop to all those rumours that Ken did not actually exist in 1942 and that he is actually a product of the late Douglas Bader’s imagination which is being channelled from beyond the grave by a regular contributor to this site.
I am also please to announce that following urgent consultation with my Navaho spirit guide Manfred von Richthofen I have stopped taking my medication. 😮

It’s bewildering that he freely admits to having no evidence, and yet still expects people to take him at his word. That’s just not how it works – you can’t just claim anything and expect people to believe you. You especially can’t throw abuse at people when they don’t believe you. If you say something occurred, yet you cannot provide any evidence of this, as far as history is concerned, it may as well never have happened. Otherwise I could claim that I had travelled back in time and tried to assassinate Hitler, but failed, and all evidence of my attempt has vanished. Anyone is free to make any claim they like, but they must be able to support it.
There’s a saying; extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I realise he’s had a hard time of it, but he brings it upon himself. Williams needs to put up, or shut up until he can put up!
