Well…I imagine that Wildfire TV/Channel 4 will be as surprised as I was to read the second bit of this blurb!! http://www.diecast-aviation.co.uk/

A sort of Bader query, how many Sptifire MkVa’s were produced and how successful were they in comparison to their Cannon equipped stablemates ???
I hope you havn’t copied anything from sites that stole them from others and them tried to claim them for their own!!!
About 6500 Mark V in all, of which only 99 were Va. How well they performed is hard to gauge, I think. I have a feeling that only a few made combat and most went to second line duties PDQ.

I’ve previously made the point that some of the things he has posted about me are such obvious lies that it devalues the rest of his account. However such logic is beyond the ken of Ken, apparently.
I now have the place all to myself, can you hear an echo, echo, echo ???? 🙂
If anyone is looking to sue me for plagiarism please pm/email your details to me and I will add you to the pile along side those for infringement of copyright, defamation of character, internet mischief, stepping on the cracks in the pavement and for impersonating member of the fascist party without the aid of a safety net.

Ken, I know you devour every word of this site, so perhaps you’ll consider including a shred of truth in your account of events on here a couple of years ago? If you can’t be trusted to give a reasonable account of such recent events then how can you expect anyone to believe your other stories?

Watch it, or you’ll end up being bradished a Neo Nazi and have your details published over his website. I think my 15 minutes of fame has been extended.
Is there any proof Bader was actually at Duxford ?
Yes…. I think it was the Red Stork at Whittlesford, now re-named the Red Lion:D

No that’s Kenneth Williams.
…here we go again.Mark

I noted the mention of the late Robert Rudhall’s book “The Battle of Britain movie book. I bought one years ago at Duxford and sadly it got misplaced, is this fine book still published? I noted the “VICTORY BOOKS”. I was hoping someone would offer another printing of this fine work on the movie. Sorry to learn of his passing a few years back, he sent me some nice answers to questions I had about the film. Anyone know where of if I can still get a copy?
Thanks

The price of this book rocketed on ebay. It has since been re-issued and is currently available here.

Aaah….a different programme!!!
Dilip Sarkar is a recognised authority on the Spitfire and the Battle of Britain and his research provided the basis for the Channel 4 documentary, “The Search for Bader’s Spitfire” for which Dilip was programme consultant.
Andy who?
Mark 🙂
Having just re-read the blurb, Mark, I see that the documentary for which Dilip provided the basis of the research and for which he was programme consultant was “The search for Bader’s Spitfire”. I haven’t seen that. Have you? I wonder if he had as much fun as we did with “Who Downed Douglas Bader?” :diablo: :diablo: :diablo: 😉 😀
