I am looking for in-depth information on aircraft built at Warton. Does anybody have the address of the Bae. Systems North West Heritage Group? Also a contact name would be helpful.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Thanks for the info. I tried calling the number 01772-885941 and all I got was a BT recorded message saying that the number was not recognised  Have they moved? or not paid the bill  I tried several times so I am sure that I got the number correct. I will try writing again but they have not replied to my previous letters in February and May so I won’t get my hopes up.
Any further help gratefully received.
Regards,
CC

North West Heritage Group
I can confirm that the above address and phone number given by Scott C is good. Here are some names of the team that may be helpful to you.
Brian Tomlinson
Bob Fairclough
Graham Green
I know all these guys very well having spent a considerable amount of time at Warton with the Typhoon intro to service. They are extremely knowledgeable, almost to guru status, very helpful and have access to a myriad of information through their archives. Can’t praise these people enough for the work they do.

Don’t have a contact for them but you could try contacting the British Aviation preservation Council (BAPC) as they might be a member. I think BAPC have a website – try www.jparkin.net/bapc or e-mail secretaryBAPC@btconnect.com.
If you do make contact perhaps you might ask them if was their proposal I read about in a mag about 3 – 4 years ago to build a flyable replica of the Gloster E28/39 (different from the two static replicas) and is it still active?
