Bagels

I guess this will sound a dumb question to some people, but what’s the best way to eat bagels? Hot? Cold? Sliced in two and toasted? Read somewhere they’re good with marmalade or cream cheese, but how do you prepare them? That ring shape doesn’t exactly lend itself to fillings. Thanks.

Very nice toasted with cream cheese (ordinary or garlic like Boursin). That is my favourite way to eat bagels.

Bury Market, on a Saturday, for the finest Black Pudding in der velt.
Boiled Blood clots! With Mushy peas and Vinegar for the sour preference, or topped with Apple Chutney for the sweet toothed.

aye chadwicks is a grand stall , probably one of if not (the ) longest running stalls on the market

i discovered once a black pudding is probably not the best choice of food after a dentists visit

as it is difficult to tell if you are biting pudding or lip !!

Droll, drool, drool…..the mere mention of black pudding always reminds of the Michael Palin as Eric Oulthwaite in Ripping Yarns – “….the black puddings are so black that even the white bits are black….:D

Oh. And Bagels tend to suit Scrambled egg (Dry Northern style not runny Southern softy style) with a liberal sprinkling of plain crisps. Or “Chips” as our 3,000 mile neighbours say. Hey…Egg n Chips!!!!

Fill in the song words, I’ve gone blank lass. And, what was the advert actually for?

(To the tune of Doris Day’s Que sera sera)

“Will it be chips or jacket spuds”
………………………………Frozen peas.
…………………………we’ll have to wait and see.

HOPE IT’S CHIPS, IT’S CHIPS, WE HOPE IT’S CHIPS, IT’S CHIPS

I LOVE Marmite.
But I don’t like the spin-off products for some reason. I’ve got some Marmite breakfast bars at work…I can only manage a biteful a day.

…and, it isn’t called Margerine anymore. “Spreads”. There was some legal ruling or summat.

My Auntie Marge has been ill for 15 years.
I can’t believe she’s not better.
