from BBC.
Unconfirmed reports say US troops have captured Baghdad airport with tanks and armoured units against almost no opposition from Iraqi forces.
By: ageorge - 10th April 2003 at 19:26
American Special Forces have reported the successful takeover of Baghdad Airport . However , further inspection by Irish journalists of the lack of ground staff and no open shops or services revealed it to be the Ryanair Baghdad airport . American troops have , in fact landed 400 miles South of Baghdad and will have to take the feeder bus that leaves from O’Hammed’s Irish bar at 1800.

A point of fact, Alderney babies are born on Guernsey, it is a safe guard to stop them getting mixed up when one baby looks like another, as do most of the population.
A bit like a scene from Pink Floyds the Wall, or Deliverance, “You’ve got a sweet pair of lips there boy”
Now where’s that there Banjo Billy Bob.

Hehe – but pity those poor sods on Alderney!

I’m no inbred banjo-playing hillbilly thank you very much.

Nothing wrong with Portuguese or French women, they’re clean and have eyes that don’t face towards each other.
We’d better watch how far we go with the descriptions our friend from Guernsey will start to get aroused.
Mind you his Kin wouldn’t be too keen on him getting involved with someone from out the family. I can hear the banjo’s now.

At least Manx women aren’t all from Portugal or France

Anyway, whats all the fuss about? Its only a bloody aeroplane.
One less to get dusty in a museum somewhere.
Must be the proximity to Liverpool. At least my home isn’t dominated by the French
We are getting picky now, at least our cats have tails, but there again I suppose it one less thing to get in the way when the locals are on heat, does it beat sh@gg!ng sheep.

I don’t think a conspiracy is necessary here. After all, it was destroyed by Americuns:
“Look! An aircraft!”
“I know aircraft! That looks like a Tornado fighter/bomber!”
“Then it must be an Iraqi attacker! It even has two containers of chemicals on the rear fuselage!”
“Gunner, aircraft, 12 o’ clock, HEAT”
….

The Isle of Man isn’t that on offshore suburb of Liverpool ???
I guess they blew up the airliner just in case SH and his cronies tried to use it as a getaway vehicle.
You can just see the scenario, up pulls a black Merc out jumps SH and several mechanics who prepare to bolt on three engines, change the tyres, check the hydraulics’, refuel etc…..
Interesting to note that the other aircraft only had their tyres shot out. I guess they were under instructions not to do any further damage to something that could be useful to the Iraqi economy.

You’re both just jealous you’re not from the Isle of Man.
This might be a dumb question, buy why did the Americans blow up the airliners? Were they under orders to destroy the Iraqi commercial fleet?

I agree (or should that be disagree?). We must diminish any preconceptions that there is not an eternal rivalry between us both. I will now try harder to refrain myself from being agreeable with you on a regular basis.
My sincere Apologies

Watch It.
Adrian bearing in mind the long history of disagreement between our two great nations we shouldn’t be seen to agree too often, it may set a precedence and a bad example to others.:)

I was thinking along the same lines, EN830.
