Hi all,
You may remember that in the past few days a topic has been posted about the possibility of meeting up in Barcelona for a day or two so we can all do what we enjoy doing most!
Many of you expressed interest in the trip, particularly A330Crazy, Ren Frew and myself.
However, if the trip is to go ahead, we’ll need to book as soon as possible. Our flights with British Airways/Iberia that we intend to use will not be £90 forever.
If any of you are free for a couple of days from week commencing Monday 28 June 2004 and would be interested in coming along – bearing in mind it’s not incredibly cheap, please post a reply here.
And just to point out, I am not accepting responsibility for an under-aged passenger who wants to come along but cannot find someone to supervise them.

That is my booking from last year – coincidently its the same time as you lot are looking to go! Its right opposite the Sangrada Familia cathedtal and 2 mins accross the square to the train station. Its £62.10 or E91.00 for the appartments per night which sleep up to 4 people (1 kingsize double bed, 1x Single room, 1x sofa bed i think). You pay 10% of the cost by credit card on the net and the rest by cash on arrival. I will pass you the website etc over the net when i see you – pics etc are on there. If anybody has a basic camp bed you will get a couple more in i think! The owner only visited us to show us in and collect the key at the end!

I’m looking at a long weekend type of gig, Friday to Monday or equivalent spell during the week. As mentioned a couple of chums will be coming and planes aren’t their thing, so I’ll probably not spend all my time viewing aircraft.

How long do people intend on staying in Barcelona?
and.. EGNM, the accommodation you would recommend.. what sort of price would we be looking at for the end of June?

A few days is best for me, it’s not really practical to go for a day trip, flight wise. I’m easy with dates but my preferred carrier, FlyGlobespan may not be. I’ll check the website and report back.

If it’s going to happen for a few days (which would be good), Thursday 24th June up until Sunday 27th June would be best for me. Alternatively, the same days the following week are just as good.

been there done that – only i ended up miles away up the coast in Callella after missing the last train home and having to sleep in a bar!!! – if anybody requires accom please contact me as i have a couple good priced recomendations that i have used.
