Barkston Heath Canberra

Does anyone know the reason why a Canberra is dumped at Barkston Heath, was it a BDRT or fire practice airframe at some point ?

It is a very battered former fire practice airframe. It is often now used to simulate a crashed aircraft during the “Peacekeeper” exercise at the end of the RAF’s Initial Officer Training course…
