Basildon Prentice

Does anyone know what happened to the Percival Prentice G-AOPY that was used in a playground at Basildon. Was it scrapped? If so, when?

Any pictures out there?

Do you know if the Southend Prentice has been sold, or are you assuming it has been sold? It has been at Biggin Hill for some time now for maintenance. I think it is back at Southend ??

Just checked Wrecks & Relics,

Prentice G-AOPY surrived up untill 1975 according to Wrecks & Relics issue 5.

wonder if anyone got any photos of it?

I beleve the Southend Airport Prentice has been sold and has flown out to her new owner.

Spooky – I was only thinking about that Prentice a day or two ago. My train to work takes me past there every day and I haven’t noticed the Prentice for years. I’d be interested to know how long it is since it disappeared.
