Hi all,
About 2 years ago i was waiting to board a flight from Girona to Dublin. I’d seen other nice new 737-800’s landing and i hoped to be on one of them but in rolled the 732 and it DID look battered. Paintwork was coming off everywhere and there had been a new nosecone as it was a different colour and it was a bit dented and black at the front. All along the side of the aircraft were buts of what looked like fuselage all around the place. There were loads of little dents in them too. Like bullet holes only just dent and not holes!
I couldnt get the reg but the aircraft looked as though it was falling apart.

Miss hearing them over your house? Where in Bradford are you? Over Eccleshill way? I see the occasional JET2 733 from my place but that’s about it!
By the way, what made CNW your favourite 732?
Paul
Yeah around that area mate.
I dont know what made CNW my fave 732, just seemed to really enjoy the flight on it!

As someone who enjoyed many hours on the RYR -200’s and look forward to the -800’s, can I just say thanks to the guys who have taken some excellent photos through the years.
BTW, just read a.net and some people are ‘sure’ that the -200’s were limited to 19000ft. What rubbish, was on one only last week at 31000ft. One of the many RYR myths.
I got really concerned once when the engine was leaking some oily, orange looking stuff. But I didnt know it was meant to do that! 😀

Paul,
If you mean the last ever flight of a 732, then no.
If you mean the last passenger flight of a Ryanair 732, then yes, if Shamrock is right (not saying he isn’t, it’s just we had so many dates for their final departure in the past few months)For tomorrow:

Hi there,
We were talking specifically about FR. I know 732’s are still happily flying around in other parts of the world 🙂
Thanks for the flight info. Can I ask where you got it from?

Certainly should be B738s, if you get a B732 be very shocked! lol
Good point about progress, it’s for the best I’m sure. 😉
I’m sure you’re right. I’m pretty certain the number of people glad to see them go will out number those of us who feel an era has ended.
I just wish I’d have been around 20 years ago to when BAC 1-11’s, 707’s and DC8’s were in regular service. Ah well…It’ll be nice in 30 years time to say I experienced the 732 if nothing else!

I can’t believe I didn’t know that. Actually…Yes I can. So LBA-DUB and back tomorrow for me is definately looking like a 738?
Sometimes I wish ‘progress’ didn’t exist!

Indeed, it has scheduled to be for a while now. I don’t suppose it is impossible that they are used again between now and the end of the year, but tonights EDI-DUB was supposed to be the very last scheduled flight.

Am I being really stupid and missing something? (I probably am). Is that THE LAST 732 flight? As in…THE ABSOLUTE FINAL ONE?

*sigh* I had so hoped to get on one of these old birds just one last time. Even if it meant flying Ryanair.
My last flight in a 200 was with British Airways in 1997. I don’t have the reg, but it was in the classic Pearl grey landor livery with British Airways Birmingham titles, flew route EDI-BHX-DUS. Ah… I can still hear that rumble of the engines.
An era comes to end in the UK skies.

The last one’s i flew on were in the summer. EI-CNV and EI-COX on flights to and from Carcassonne in France. Just before landing in Carcassonne was always fun as you made a steep right hand turn really low over the city. And it was strange to watch from the airport too. Sounded like and explosion when the reversers were deployed while rolling out on Carcassonnes runway!

Does anyone know which is the last remaining 732? It seems like EI-CNW has been floating around a bit lately.
Couldnt agree more Andrew, ive been lucky enough to fly EI-CNX twice, EI-CNW (My favourite 732 to ride on), EI-CJE (Awesome colour scheme), and EI-CJC (In better nick than expected, also a great colour scheme). Will miss hearing them climbing out over my house at about 22:15 every night :(.

Ryanair took delivery of their first 737-200 in 1994 and shortly after I flew on one of them from LPL to DUB. My last 200 flight was from STN on November 16th 2004 an awesome 18th birthday present.
Well they will be around for about only another 2 hours.
It will be very sad to seem them go.
