Can anyone help with a question please?
Across various memorials (and a movie) are listed the names of the Fighter Command Pilots who were killed during the battle of Britain.
During the Battle, a handfull of Air-Gunners flying in Aircraft such as the Defiant were also killed. Do they appear on Battle of Britain Memorials alongside the names of the pilots?
Regards

In short, yes. The memorials are to aircrew, not pilots. Air Gunners are certainly listed on the Battle Of Britain Monument on the Thames Embankment. The haven’t seemed to have had much of a mention in this years tv coverage.
Hope this helps,
Dean
