Tomorrow Saturday, 15th Sept. is Battle of Britain Day. Let us all remember to celebrate and commemorate not only the most illustrious and remarkable date in British history but also that of Western civilisation. If we do not remember then we will forget.

The weather to-day on the South coast is good. Cirrus and a bit of low level stratus. at about 1.45pm running in from the North East over Chichester harbour came thirteen (13) light a/c of various types.arranged in a loose vic formation. I took it that this group was a commemorative tribute to the anniversary of the Battle. It might have been something else but it was surely a pleasant sight.

Surely the fact that they fought is more important than their nationality.

The BBC didn’t forget, but this being Britain (or maybe just the BBC) Battle-of-Britain day is ‘remembered’ through the story of a Czechoslovakian pilot!

Ditto, BBMF are flying over many of the RAF bases this weekend and I am guessing a lot more BoB events at ATC and small museums.
