Hi all,
I wonder if anyone on the forum can explain the markings on a 7.92 round that I have recently come across.
Both are dated 1939 and have the following other markings:
S* P120 then either a 6 or an 8
S* p154 then a 3
I have attached a photograph to aid identification.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

The S* relates to the material the case is made of (in this case brass)
The single no is a batch no.
The P no’s are the manufactures codes in your case.
P120 = Dynamit A.G Vormals, Alfred Nobel & co Werk Hannover
P154 = Polte Armanturen u. Maschinenfabrik A.G Werk Gruneberg, Nordbahn Schlesien.

Thanks Mid-upper for your lightning fast response.
I have attached another image showing the general poor condition of the rounds.
Cheers

The S prefix i believe is for Spandau manufactured. Please be aware although you probably know the primers are live. 😉
