I always noted in the scene from The Battle of Britain film , when the Luftwaffe pilots are being briefed before they began their operations, when asked if any Spitfire or Hurricanes will be left for this particular group of German pilot’s. The officer say’s or uses the term ” ominbus drivers” when refering to some of his fellow pilot’s ! Anyone care to expand on the use of this particular term in the film ? Great to finally see it on DVD!

Bus, as in public service vehicle, is an abbreviation of omnibus.
I don’t remember the context in the film but guess it was referring to bomber or transport pilots.
