Whilst in this Battle of Britain Anniversary year let us also remember that at the same time it was also the Air Battle of Malta under considerably worse odds than in Southern England. The original aircraft complement of a handful of Sea Gladiators “Faith Hope and Charity” manned by volunteer pilots seconded from the RAF gave the Italian Air Force a bloody nose in the early stages of the war.
I understand that a project to transport a Gladiator and Swordfish to Malta this Summer to celebrate this anniversary, has very regretfully been abandoned due RAF commitments in other theatres. Can anyone suggest any ideas or comments on how this most worthy project might be resurrected

I would love to see a Gladaitor fly over the Grand Harbour!

Easier said than done, the RAF would have undertaken the task ithout charge in order to be part of the celebration. I doubt such help would be available otherwise

Find someone else who has an aircraft large enough to transport a Gladiator.
