This is a list of on-line quick reference links for the
real-world vehicles that are *reportedly* in the game
Battlefield 2 for Windows, according to:

http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/home.jsp

This list is unofficial and may contain mistakes. It’s
not etched into stone and brought down from the mountain by
Moses.

USA (United States of America)

– AH-1Z Super Cobra. Attack Helicopter.

Unofficial nicknames: Shark, Snake.

In its screen shots, such as
http://files.ea.com/downloads/eagames/official/battlefield2/us/vehicles/cobra.jpg
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/battlefield2/screens.html?page=122
the AH-1Z has the nose code 18081, and the tail code OT
or QT. But according to a list of USAF, USMC, and USN tail
codes at
http://www.globemaster.de/regtail.html
the real OT belongs to 53 TEG (53rd Test and Evaluation
Group), 53 WG (53rd Wing), 85 TES (85th Test and Evaluation
Squadron), and 4485 TS (4485th Test Squadron), USAF; not
USMC.

The real QT belongs to HMT-303 (Marine Helicopter
Training Squadron 303), USMC; which isn’t a combat squadron.

– F-15E Strike Eagle. Fighter/Bomber.

Unofficial nicknames: Beagle, Big Bird, ETF (Enhanced
Tactical Fighter), Flying Tennis Court, Mud Hen, Rodan.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/f-15.htm

In its screen shots, such as
http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/screen0/920407_20040811_screen003.jpg
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/battlefield2/screens.html?page=146
the F-15E has the tail code AA 1001. But according to a
list of USAF, USMC, and USN tail codes at
http://www.globemaster.de/regtail.html
the real AA belongs to CVW-17 (Carrier Air Wing 17),
USN; not USAF.

– F-35 JSF (Joint Strike Fighter).

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/jsf.htm

In its screen shots, such as
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/battlefield2/screens.html?page=121
the F-35 has the nose code 21.

– F/A-18E Super Hornet. Fighter/Bomber.

Unofficial nicknames: Plastic Bug, Rhino.

In its screen shot, the F/A-18E belongs to VMFA-400 and
has a nose code of 181. But according to a list of USAF,
USMC, and USN tail codes at
http://www.globemaster.de/regtail.html
the real USMC doesn’t seem to have a VMFA-400 squadron.

– HH-60H Sea Hawk. Transport Helicopter.

Unofficial nicknames: Catfish, Crash Hawk, Lawn Dart,
UTTAS (Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System), Velcro
Hawk.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/uh-60.htm

In its screen shots, such as
http://files.ea.com/downloads/eagames/official/battlefield2/us/vehicles/blackhawk.jpg
http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/news/04/22/battlefield2/battlefield2_screen002.jpg
http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/reviews/920407_20041202_screen043.jpg
the HH-60H Sea Hawk belongs to USMC, and has the
nose code 818.

AFAIK, the real USN uses the HH-60 and SH-60 Sea Hawk,
and the real USMC primarily uses the CH-47, CH-53, and
MV-22, but I don’t know whether the real USMC uses any
CH-60, HH-60, or SH-60?
