Battlestations: Pacific

In case anyone here’s having a boring Sunday afternoon, watching grass grow in the back yard, and doesn’t mind a small challenge…

I guess I’m one of the very few lifeless members here (yeah, right, the both of us) who have a part-time hobby of gawking at the virtual military aircraft in a computer game that I don’t have or don’t play, spot the serial numbers texture-mapped onto said virtual military aircraft, and check whether said serial numbers exist in our Real World (TM)… even when said serial numbers were randomly selected by the game graphickers. 8b

For instance, Battlestations: Pacific for XBOX360, has some WWII Japanese and US military aircraft:

But I don’t know enough about WWII markings to vis-ident the units (squadrons) of the aircraft, by the arrows or stripes on their tails. Anyone here’s bored enough to mayble take a quick look, and vis-ident them? 8D
