Baxterley Great Little Air Show

Since Cockpitfest a number of people have been asking about the status of StART’s 2 Balliol cockpits. Both will be on display at the Great Little Air Show at Charity Farm, Baxterley, near Atherstone on Sunday 26th June. WN534, the ‘walk-in’ Balliol which was at Cockpitfest will be next to WN516, the ex-Millom example. After Sunday there will be a certain amount of mixing and matching parts as work to restore WN516 progresses.

StART is creating an open-air aircraft museum for the day, which will also include the Antonov AN-2 fuselage, and two of the gliders.

Headlining the Air Show is Maurice Hammond’s Mustang, but to my mind the star attraction is the promise of Mike Collett landing his Anson (Which should make a great photograph, if anyone knows Baxterley). In any event it really does promise to be a ‘Great Little Air Show’
