Baxterley Wings and Wheels 30th July 2006

Great show today, really enjoyed the barnstorming acts, flour bombing (never did get that Rolls Royce unfortunately), Tiger Moth formation etc, food and drink prices and quality were really good as well which was nice. Anyway, here’s some photos

First, the wings

Nice formation of five Tiger Moths, did a very good break to end the display

Closest Yak is a Yak 18, based down the road from me at Stoke Golding, the Yak 52 in the background gave an excellent display

Not a very good pic but this An2 gave a great display, never seen one up close before, they really are huge monsters

Again not a great shot but i’m pleased with it, normally when taking a photo of anything flying I just end up with a photo of the sky/treeline (might get an SLR in a few months)

Parachute displays normally bore me but this one (there was someone else behind him) were really good, not everyday you see two people jump off a Tiger Moth and a Jackaroo!

Moving on to the wheels, I liked this hood ornament on a 30’s Riley

And to finish off, a nice shot of two very nicely restored Ford Model T’s, wouldn’t fancy driving one, accelerating using a lever sounds a bit too and changing gear with a pedal would be a bit too confusing for me!
