There are a couple of programmes on this channel from 9 tonight that might be of interest-the first is a new 3 part series about the history of Britain’s Airports, and the second is about RAF Hendon

Shame it wasn’t new, but still good though-i’m crossing my fingers they show an interview they did with Tom Sopwith just before he died-came across as a true gent-and Hannah Reitsch-she looked like my mum!

Looking good next week too!-a programme about the heyday of the jet airliner, and another about how to survive plane crashes!

🙂 Yep – both good programmes indeed – also just watched the 40minutes special on “Suckling Airways” (now known as Scot Airways) which was equally fascinating to watch as a follow up to a documentary filmed 20 years before….
Good evening for aviation TV!

Very good documentaries, particularly enjoyed the footage of Croydon Airport. The Hendon documentary was good too, and my old flat (the ex-Aerodrome Hotel/Officers Mess) popped up in a few scenes!

There is a ding – dong going on with BT and BBC regarding I-Player.
If you are on a limited download per month this can take a whopping chunk out of it which is the reason BT is kicking up a stink.
This can be up to 500-600 MB per hour.
Brian.

Yeah, they’re both listed on iplayer-what a good idea that is-you can get to see repeats of repeats!

Many thanks for that heads up. May also be on iPlayer if anybody misses it?
