BBC McGregor brothers documentary 'The BoB' on tonight , 4 June

Although I had seen it before, I watched it again – but this time I noticed something new….

Near the end, when Ewan McGregor got a flight in the two-seater, there were a few shots taken from his front looking rearwards over his shoulders.

In all those shots, the elevators were clearly pitched down – you could see the horn balances(?) pointing upwards.

Is this normal ?? – or is it just unique to the two seater ??

Was it pitched down to keep it straight and level in formation with the BBMF Spitfire & Hurricane ??
