I’ve often thought the BBC had a heavy ‘left’ bias, but the recent party conferences have confirmed it for me.
During the Labour conference, the top half of the main news page was full of stories about the conference, and setting out Labours policies in an almost ‘bullet point’ presentation.
The UKIP conference only made the top of the page because of the ‘Slutgate’ scandal.
Now it’s the turn of the Conservatives, and there’s barely a mention.

It was the same yesterday.
I’ll be taking a couple more pinches of salt with my BBC news from now on.

When it comes to News, I would sooner watch SKY News, they tell it as it is.

Hi All,
I think all the media are just outlets for what we are allowed to hear you never really get any middle of the rd story’s we are being force fed rubbish because it is part of a bigger picture that we are not allowed to see. We are all treated like mushrooms kept in the dark and fed **** in the end you are left with what ever stations version of the news.
Just take for instance the case of the woman from the train who after a rather enjoyable night out with friends and much consuming of the falling down liquid she met a rather nice coloured man who made comments about the poppy she wore on her coat, after she had enough he got both barrels .
The main part’s of this news just featured the abuse this guy got, not the fact that he was the cause buy his apparent comments about her poppy. You also have the news concentrating on the woman giving her name etc.etc., there was no mention of the identity of the alleged abused man, no mention of why he wasn’t fighting against British troops in his own country, there was no mention of who actually took out the proceedings against the woman it was just looked at from the abused mans point of view and if what he is alleged to have said that by wearing the poppy she had blood on her hands then he got his just rewards.

I’ve long been puzzled at what the BBC -with all it’s much-vaunted depth of coverage- considers newsworthy. Almost wall-to-wall coverage of the recent Nairobi shopping mall attack, yet a few days later up to 50 Nigerian students were murdered in cold blood, and the BBC barely mention it. :confused:

The American news media is equally guilty of political bias, with some networks being worse than others. They all have an agenda of some sort that they wish to report.

It is a very long time since I used the BBC as my source for news – so I am unaware but unsurprised by your comments.
