Surviving Disaster
New series. The 1958 plane crash that killed 23 passengers after the aircraft overshot the runway during take-off from Munich airport. Among the dead were eight members of Matt Busby’s Manchester United football squad, including team captain Roger Byrne. The programme includes a reconstruction of events, and examines the aftermath of the accident and the investigation that followed
i will be watching it!

I remember thinking that I must watch that, and we didn’t put the TV on until about 20 minutes before the end, just as the Ambassador was starting its fateful attempt at take off. I hope it will be repeated then I could see it all from beginning to end.

Well I thought it was informative and quite entertaining.
Which is precisely what it should be.
Better than a reality TV show or a repeat of Gardeners worlds any day.

Well that was a bit of a pointless program! It didnt go into anything in depth really other than it crashed and 23 people died spending no doubt £100,000 to do that!
