BBMF Brochure Pictures

OC BBMF is about to compile the BBMF Brochure for 2006, the deadline for which falls in a few weeks time. It is therefore time to ask, once again, for any photographers who are willing, to send CD-ROMS of their pictures of BBMF aircraft to OC BBMF for possible inclusion in next year’s brochure. In the last two years this appeal has elicited an excellent response and some superb images have been made available to the Flight, many of which have been used in the brochures. The BBMF brochure has an annual distribution of 45,000 and they are given away to members of the public all over the country free of charge. Although, the BBMF is unable to pay photographers for any images provided, the copyright will be respected, the Flight will not allow the images to be re-used for commercial profit-making purposes and, if images are used in the 2006 BBMF brochure, the photographer’s name will appear on the list of photographers on the back cover of the brochure. In addition, successful photographers, whose images are used, will be amongst the first to receive a copyof the 2006 brochure when it is published.
The address to send CD-ROMS to is:
OC BBMF,
RAF Coningsby,
LINCS,
LN4 4SY

Thanks in advance for any photos received.

I guess it’s per image. You can also send pictures to BBMF by e-mail. Then the max. size is 2 MB.

Thanks for the info.

Is that 5MB in total or per image?

OC BBMF would like to thank all those who have sent in their pictures, and will be writing to thank those people personally in due course.
We would like to urge anyone who would like to send any pictures in that the deadline is nearly upon us. Thanks in advance.

Yep, good idea. Will it happen in time for the brochure? Doubt it. Not forgetting the expansion of waistlines that seems to go with age.

If I get around to it I’ll send a CD, I have a few from this season. Here’s one.

Now where did all that oil go?

Now that the hilarious jokes are out of the way…….. Did anyone have anything to add to the ‘serious’ picture idea?

How about setting up a picture in front of the Lanc with the current operating crew lined up on the right in their modern flight gear with a composite crew of genuine surviving oldtimers in period flight gear lined up seperately on the left, with the image faded to sepia tones down the middle?

Could also be done the same with a Spit and Hurricane?

I think it would be a very nice poignant touch, especially as there are fewer and fewer of these old boys with us these days.

Make a nice change from the Aeroplane being the star all the time.
