If any of the BBMF guys on here read this, please pass on my thanks to the Lancaster crew and to ‘Parky’ in P7 for the fantastic contribution to the Memorial Day at the Battle of Britain Memorial at Caple le Ferne.
The Lanc and Spitfire flypast was so enthusiastically received by the large crowd, and ‘Parky’s appearance from behind the treeline and his subsequent superb display was the icing on the cake.
Amongst the veterans attending were Geoff Wellum and Tom Neil, writers of two of the best BoB books you will ever read.
It was worth giving up my usual second day at Legends to attend.
