Was to have been Key publishing’s aviation world event on 26/27th april which is now cancelled so dunno if they will come over.

Yes, thought that may be the case, and yes, I’ve probably seen you many a time at OW, live near Henlow so just down the road and come to most of the shows each year.

Any idea what’s happening at Shuttleworth on April 26?, full BBMF are due to display but it’s not a usual display date?

Appearance timings

Hi,

Other than continually pestering a contact (thanks mate:) ) is there an ‘official’ way of finding out the timings of these appearances? For instance, the Dak is listed as appearing in May at Rickmansworth. This must be the Rickmansworth Festival – just a stones throw from Stirling Mansions. As it is a canal boat event I assume they are not landing!

Googling reveals that the RAF Falcons will be dropping in, so I assume the Dak is their transport. I could get information from the organisers, but for other events it is a bit more difficult, such as if it is a private booking. Are the flights listed in any way elsewhere (such as ‘NOTAMS’ – whatever that is!! )

Thanks

DS

Just been looking at the dates on line. Can anyone tell me why some places are listed in red?

They’re just the ones that have links to that event’s website.

I’m trying to get conformation of them going to Goraszka in Poland on 7-8 June. I see that a Spitfire and the Dakota are in Berlin the week before so it might be a fair assumption that it will be a Spit and Dak in Poland… We’ll see!

Looks like the Lanc is going to be busy.

I’m awaiting the ones for July,as a matter of personal interest.;)

The venues on the 30th/31st May are interesting, and there are some dates posted for October and November, which must be a first.

I dont think thats the end of the list, last year the list was updated with new aircraft every month or so.

The schedule is being worked out at present, the dates for the ROLE Demo have been released (8 events i believe)……There will be no single Harrier display or Tornado display this year.

I would have hoped that the Events Team would have given up on the ROLE Demo. The two occasions I saw it I felt it just didnt work. Other forumites on many diff forums seemed to agree. Bring back the Tonka and Harrier solo displays.

Look forward to seeing where the BBMF will be this year. Any new colour schemes planned this year?

Quinny… Your timing couldn’t be better.. I was just about to ask the same question!

I’ve just had an e-mail from someone in Poland saying that they are supposed to be displaying at Goraszka…Is anyone able to confirm this? It’s 7th & 8th of June.

RAF PARTICIPATION 2008

The team that used to be at RAF High Wycombe and went under the RAF PARTICIPATION TEAM have now moved to RAF CRANWELL and are now known as the RAF EVENTS TEAM.

The schedule is being worked out at present, the dates for the ROLE Demo have been released (8 events i believe)……There will be no single Harrier display or Tornado display this year.

We should know by the end of February beginning of March what event each team as been allocated.

I believe most of the BBMF dates have been sorted so watch there site etc, and the Reds are off to Canada in June and Poss part of the USA, But remember the Reds are part sponsored by British Aerospace companies.
