Just managed to finish reading the official BBMF yearbook 2012 which again was a very good read and congrats to all involved. A question I would like to ask and maybe someone will know the answer on here.
The pilots are checked out on tail wheeled aircraft which is 25hrs on the Chippies and then they are assessed on the Harvard before strapping on the Spitfire and Hurricane.
How many hours do they do on the Harvard and whose aircraft do they use? Thanks.”

Found these on the BBMF website, they seem to point to two trips in the Harvard, one in the front and one in the back before flying the Hurricane.

Very naive of me to automatically assume you must have been a pilot 😮

None. Worked at BBMF as an engineer.

I speak from experience at BBMF but things get a bit foggy.
Which of the three aircraft did you fly?

That would make sense as ARCo do maintenance, restoration and inspection tasks on the BBMF fleet.

They use Arco’s Harvard (the Portugese marked one) and do 10 hours (IF I remember correctly).
