I think in 2016 they produced a document that gave the routes or the flyovers etc while the aircraft were out and about, it was very helpful for a spot/heads up for a passing of BBMF aeroplanes, I note this has not happened this year at all, any ideas why not?
It was listed on this page
https://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/displays/flyingprogramme.cfm
It would point out lets say display Southend 14.20, Rochester 1500, Biggin15.10 North Weald 15.40, Conningsby 16.200 that allowed me to work out the points in between I may get a view

Hi All,
Could there be concerns regarding security ? After all it would only take a split second for some piillock to fly a drone into whatever aircraft wouldn’t
it ? Especially when you consider the recent outcry concerning this at airports I know it’s a ridiculous idea but it is just a suggestion…

I am guessing this will be a long grounding

Looks like a trip to Southend may not be needed after all 🙁

I did enquire on their FB, but didn’t have much luck 🙁
I wouldn’t mind going to Clacton. We’ve only been once, and that was to see the Vulcan display.
Getting there and parking was no problem, getting away afterwards was though. It’s a good venue for
photography, much better than Eastbourne seafront.

Alan, I think they may fly down Thursday(MET could be an issue) display then to Southend
Anyone with ‘FACEACHE’ could check I of course do not have such delights

The BBMF will be at Clacton on the Thursday (1610 – Lanc and 2 x Spitfire)
I wonder if they will still operate out of Southend, it being a short hop to Clacton. Or they will fly in and out of Conningsby ?
Which saves on moving ground crews about.

I’m sure I read on their Facebook page that they stopped putting all their routes up as they got too many requests for Flypasts that they could not commit too. Don’t quote me on that though.

They do still post them, but usually on the BBMF Official Facebook page I’m afraid.

MM not sure it would be to much work, the last few years have been way busier than this year.
They never put the transits just the points they were going to do overflying IE Fetes etc, it was easy to work out the transit route from that.
Its going to be a Busy Biggin Hill

The Red Arrows have a transit page showing their times and locations. They are flying out of Biggin Hill this weekend and I know that in previous years the Hawk T2 demo team have flown from there, but that was down to Biggin having a long enough runway. I guess that the amount of work showing the memorial flight’s transits would be too much work, being that they have different aircraft all over the country at the same time, whether they be the Lancaster, Dakota, spitfires or Hurricanes? It’s a bit easier if all of your aircraft fly as one unit…

Thanks Alan not just me then what a shame.
I have just checked the MET for this weekend very gusty and I am guessing they will operate out of Biggin for Eastbourne etc.
Yes only one day for Clacton, I wonder why? crews maybe. I would bet Southend as they are off darn sarff that weekend

You aren’t the only one to notice this.
At the moment the BBMF according to their site, are only at Clacton for the Friday. The Clacton website isn’t any clearer.
They usually do both days and operate out of Southend. You can’t go into ops and enquire, as it’s now airside, and ATC don’t
have any info as yet.
As you say, in previous years, their schedule was laid out on what looked like an excel sheet. I did ask on their FB page,
but without much luck.
