Around 1430 (ish) this afternoon the Lancaster and a Spitfire from the BBMF flew over my place of work in line astern formation heading west between leicester and loughborough. Following a few miles behind and a little higher was a Hurricane and about 15 mins later the Dakota flew through but this was a little further away. Probably off to Farnborough I thought.
Nice to see on a Friday afternoon.

Lanc, BBMF Dakota and a six ship of jets (may have been part of the REDs) spotted to the west of Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon. Lanc heading East, Dak East then West, Jest six ship north west.
Wasnt there a display in central Wales yesterday at one of the schools ?

The Lanc + one Spitfire & a Hurricane appeared at Farnboro’ some time after the main display had ended and proceeded to give what seemed to me to be a full display shortly before 6pm. Maybe the SBAC wanted to validate their routine before the weekend’s public days? Not sure if they eventually landed as I had to attend to other matters and then depart myself.

I presume it was the BBMF that flew over Eastleigh at 1730.
Nipped out to spot at least one Spitfire, plus another or a Hurricane in the distance.
A rumble went over shortly before those two, which could have been the Lanc.

Saw them too – makes friday afternoon feel better!!- they seemed to be following the A46! The spit seemed to be playing around the back of the Lanc for a bit before darting off high to the left
what a job! 😉
hope to see some new air to air shots soon!
