BBMF Merlin.

Several years ago there was a crash damaged Merlin sitting on a pallet next to the old BBMF visitor centre at Coningsby. I enquired about the history of the engine and one of the guides told me it had “come from a crash site in Wales”. It disappeared eventually and I was told it had been scrapped:eek:

I would be interested to hear from anyone who knows more about the origins of the engine and it’s eventual fate.
