BBMF Schedules

Hi there,
the bbmf (Spitfire, Hurricane & Dakota) are all scheduled for a flypast at this years Northwest 200 at Portrush in Northern Ireland on the 17th May. I probably won’t make it up to see them there but I do believe they are flying into Aldergrove before hand. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how they would be scheduled – will they fly in the day before, the morning of or fly direct do the show and then land at Aldergrove? Would be my only chance of seeing them. Or do you know where I could find out this information?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Fluffy,
many thanks for the info. I didn’t go to Aldergrove as I had heard that the display was cancelled due to the death of Robert Dunlop at the circuit. Would this have been right or did I miss you?

Thats correct cancelled due to the death of Robert Dunlop 🙁

‘Vulcan flypast’ on 5th July refers to the possible joint flypast between XH558 and the Lanc at Waddington’s International Airshow – I say possible of course because that’s assuming XH558 will be at the show.

I think I posted this on another BBMF thread but did anyone else notice the Lancaster is scheduled for a “Vulcan Flypast” on July 5th?

BBMF at Horham on Sunday

Whilst at work at Diss in South Norfolk on Sunday I spotted The Lancaster to the south of the town at approx 2.20pm heading East toward Horham, In the distance I could also see what I believe was the Hurricane but it was at some distance from the Lancaster, I note in the display calender that a spitfire was also due to flypass at Horham does anyone know why the spitfire didn’t seem to appear.

Just check their display dates again and I notice that they have Aldergrove scheduled on the same day. So maybe they will be staging out of there.
