Having just heard from Dr. Fluffy, unfortunately the tours of the BBMF Hanger are not running until the end of June. This is not due to the lack of A/C in the Hanger, it is due to the state of the Hanger its self. Any more info will be posted as and when I get it.

I popped in there today and they’re still hoping to run weekend tours on the weekend of 3rd and 4th July, subject to the hangar work being complete..

Thanks for the update.
I’ll leave my next trip until they’ve sorted the hangar out.
I’d recommend the hangar tour highly to anyone who hasn’t been to the BBMF yet. Marvellous to see the aircraft up close and the volunteer guides are great !

Hi all
just had word from Chris on BBMf he say’s that the heating system
is buckling the roof.
PS. spit PM-631 is at southend being stripdown for transport by road
back to coningsby.
PPS. Fluffy if any of this is wrong, bollock him when you see him.

Have checked with Visitor Centre. Open W/E still on but obviously no access to hanger, but you will get closer to the A/C if they are leaving or arriving Sat/Sun. Check Board at the fence for times.

That’s a shame !
I was hoping to be there on 19th/20th June for their first open weekend.
