However LLA day would be very boring if it was just the Lanc, with nothing else to see or do!!

LLA owning a static Shack and Vulcan at another airfield won’t do much for the LLA day at Coningsby, either…

Just thought we would repost this quote. The post is about our website not LLA. However LLA day would be very boring if it was just the Lanc, with nothing else to see or do!!
LLA do a grand job and we have no complaints here. Take up your grievance with LLA.

Nothing secret going on here- it’s been printed in their own journal- try Autumn 2007, No.48- the LLA own Shack WR977 and Vulcan XM594 at Newark.

Plus, the LLA are moving away from their original purpose of safeguarding the Lanc, and have branched out into ownership of a Vulcan and (I think?) a Shack; to be honest, that’s NOT what I pay my mebership to them for.

Oh dear.

If that is the case, and I would like to see it direct from the LLA,then my membership will not be renewed.

No offence to the Vulcan and Shack fans, but I pay my membership for the Lanc, hence the name,LLA,not for other aircraft.

Have those at the top informed any of the members of this, because they certainly haven’t asked me.

Ken.

The LLA said that the website is now defunct- I forget why.

The LLA journal is always nice to receive, and it’s gotten much better in recent years, but to be honest, and no offence is meant here, it does still come over as a publication put together by a bunch of old folk! Thank heavens for the inclusion of material direct from OC BBMF these days, I say.

Just a thought.

Yes BBMF, the new web site looks good with some interesting information too. Thanks for the update.

Could all the information regarding the flight take some of the wind from the sails of the biennial LLA journal we all eagerly wait for?

While there is a link to join the Lincolnshire’s Lancaster Association, there is not a direct link to their web site. http://www.pa474.f9.co.uk/
At this moment I think it will need to be updated as some of the pages do not open.

Will there be any direct link to the LLA site in the future BBMF?

Thanks.

Brian.
