Be.2 & Fokker Triplane

Nice to see them overfly my house at 10:30 am heading east Sywell to Duxford for Legends ? Engines sounded meaty and well running. Could not help think the Be.2c was our Home Defence fighter back in 1914.

I can detect a different engine note so naturally look out the window/door whichever is close, easy !!

That sounds like the game that I played when I lived on the threshold of Shoreham Aerodrome. Sitting in the garden on a summer’s day, looking out over Widewater and the sea, with aircraft departing on 02/20, my wife would say to me “alright, so what’s that?” and I would have until the aircraft appeared over the roof of the house to identify it by the sound of its engine. How sad, some of you might say. And probably you’d be right!

I think you sniffed too much model glue and got confused with the models hanging from your ceiling.

Hopefully we’ll get to Kempston soon. We’re on Luton’s route, so everything interesting avoids us.

Everything flies over your house!! Does every warbird pilot decide to waggle his wing’s over T-21’s house or do you spend all day on your roof with the bonculars.
