BEA colour scheme

Does anyone have any idea what shade of red was applied to the BEA merchantman in the white/black/red/grey colour scheme?

We think it may be roundel red, but some have said red/orange.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks,
Dave

Oops – a few days late I’ve just spotted this one.

The red is ‘Vivid Red’, Munsell reference 7.5R 5/16 and BS 0.005

I did some research a few years ago on this (for a piece of artwork), it was the same red as on the Union flag, which is pretty much roundel red.
