Beagle Pup cockpit for sale.

Hi all

My son, Max, has decided to sell his Beagle Pup-100, G-AXNL, cockpit section. So I am letting people know that it is available, and he is open to offers for it. It will only go to a good home of his choice if he is happy that it is going to a good home. I know approximatly what value he has in mind, based only on the cost of parts he has purchased to restore her, but he is interested to here what value others think she is worth.

Max purchased her as a scrap fuselage from a dealer nr Spalding in Lincolnshire about 2 1/2 years ago. She is now mounted on a roadworthy trailer, with trailer board fitted, and is ready to tow away, she even has a cover over her. Literaly all that would be needed is any car with a towbar, and a new numberplate.

Since purchasing the fuselage, which had crashed and gone over on its roof, crushing the whole structure by several inches, Max has de-riveted her down to the floor level, and rebuilt her from there up. A new windscreen hoop frame was obtained from an un-finnishes fuselage, and incorporated in the rebuild. The doors have been straightened out, and do shut, but could do with a bit more tweaking.

A new ariel, windscreen, and one side window were obtained and instaled, as was a prop and spinner of the correct shape. The original interior is all there, and the original instrument panels have been restored and are included. All that is missing are a few engine instruments, a clock and some switches.

The exterior is in good condition, with very little corrosion anywhere, but would benefit from a re-paint.

The original cowlings are all there, and the original engine bearer is installed. the rest of the engine bay is quite complete, with battery box, brake cylinders, pipework and some other electrical gear.

The original rudder pedals are installed, but the control sticks are home made (the originals are available from the breaker, and we can supply details).

If anyone is interested, please send a PM, and we will talk to you that way. The cockpit is stored under cover in Leicester, and can be viewed if you wish.

Here are links to a few photo’s to give an idea of what is available and the work done.
