A colleague of my dad’s would like to know the best place to look for information about her father who was an observer on Beaufighters.
His name was F/SGT Cecil Austin Boffin, service number 1 324 613, and he was shot down on 14/8/44 over Yugoslavia, and spent the rest of the war in a POW camp.
After a quick Google, I found some info of the crash here:

Turns out he was with 19 Sqn SAAF.
Cheers

19 Sqn SAAF
Hi Paul
I too am tracking down information on my uncle, F/O James Reid, RAF Volunteer Reserve, 19 Sqn SAAF, the observer in Beaufighter X7879(?) based at Biferno airfield, piloted by G/Capt Powell, shot down over Banja Luka on 18/08/1944.
If you have been able to find information on 19 Sqn SAAF operations and personnel in August 1944, I would be most eager to hear from you.
Best wishes
Fraser
